Closing the Bones
Closing the Bones ceremony is a Mexican tradition although it is practised in many other cultures under different names.
It's about drawing a line for the woman after she has given birth - physically, emotionally, spiritually. It's about celebrating the person she has become as well as saying goodbye to the person she was.
Physically making sure that the body is healing well (skeleton, particularly pelvis but all it it). It involves massage, plus wrapping of the body with a Rebozo, talking, celebrating and letting go.
We use candles, soft music and provide an unhurried, personalised services.
There is no time limit on how long after you have given birth you can do this, because there is no time limit on how long it takes us to heal. We are all individuals.
